A BRITISH TV personality has revealed she flies in luxurious business class while her kids are sent to economy.

Kirstie Allsopp, who stars in the UK reality series Location, Location, Location, said upgrading them would be an “absurd waste of money”, The Sun reported.

Last year chef Gordon Ramsay, who is worth around $61 million, controversially revealed he would not bump up his kids on flights.

Allsopp, 46, said she and partner Ben Andersen agreed, and regularly turned left towards the pointy end of the plane when boarding while children Bay, 12, and Oscar, 10, went right.

“If I’m going to spend money, it’s on the holiday itself rather than the flights,” said Allsopp, who is estimated to earn more than $870,000 a year.

“When we fly as a family, the boys do fly separately from Ben and me if we’re not in economy together.

“Obviously this wasn’t the case when they were little but now they are big enough to sit separately, they do.

“Club class should be a huge treat you’ve worked hard for. If kids get used to it, what do they have to work towards?

“It seems like an absurd waste of money and very spoiling.

“I suspect Gordon Ramsay and I can’t be the only ones to think this.”

Allsopp is the eldest child of British aristocrat and former member of the House of Lords, Charles Henry Allsopp.

She has posted various holiday snaps online over the past couple of years, including trips to the Bahamas, the Greek islands, Turkey, Kenya and New York.

But she is also well-known for her thrifty ways, writing several books on transforming homes on the cheap.

Meanwhile Ramsay, 51, caused a stir last year when he explained his refusal to pay for his four children to join him in business class on flights.

“They get entertainment on their iPads,” Ramsay said at the time.

“I don’t want them sat there with a 10-course f**king menu with Champagne.

“It is my wife and [my] choice to keep them real.”
