Perth is expected to cop around 40mm throughout the metropolitan area.

It's also good news for WA farmers in the South West Land Division, who can expect around 10mm and 20mm of rain to hit throughout the three day period.

WA farmers in the east, however, can only expect around 5mm.

Damaging winds up to 100 kilometres per hour are also possible along the WA coast on Monday evening.

During Tuesday, the damaging winds will travel away from the coast and extend eastwards across the Southwest Land Division, the Gascoyne and Goldfields.

The Bureau said there was a slight risk of destructive gusts in excess of 125 kilometres per hour in localised areas over southwest parts during Tuesday.

Surfers making their way to the WA coast over the next week can also expect sky high tides, with rough seas.
