Matt LeBlanc has transferred the essence of his Friends himbo, Joey, to middle-aged dad, Adam, in this pleasant sitcom. The storyline tonight involving a saucy babysitter will resonate with every "silver fox" (and probably with their wives). But whereas many of LeBlanc's vintage would choose a sleazier route, his manchildish vulnerability is forgivable and cute. This is a polished and progressive addition to the genre.

It's heartening to see a business reality show that doesn't involve people being fired (The Apprentice) or slapped down (Shark Tank). Perhaps Wizard Home Loans guy, Mark Bouris, has learnt from hosting The Apprentice that a little kindness goes a long way. It is largely this approach he has to the struggling outfits here. Tonight, married Sydney North Shore salon owners are the beneficiaries of his constructive criticism.
