A man has been charged after allegedly stealing the ashes of a dead person from a Melbourne home.
The 26-year-old is accused of taking a tin containing the ashes, alongside a car and mobile phone, from the home in the southeast suburb of Noble Park on Saturday.
He was later charged with burglary, theft and motor vehicle theft and bailed to appear in the Dandenong Magistrates Court on July 2.
