Craig Williams, who rode the horse Sword Of Light who bumped with So Si Bon at the start, said there was contact but wouldn’t elaborate.

“The horse on the outside made contact with my legs. I don’t want to say anything more. Speak to the stewards,” Williams said.

Bailey said the Williams mount Sword Of Light jumped out and So Si Bon jumped in at the start causing contact.

“You could say So Si Bon had a think about but there wasn’t enough contact, so he gets the benefit of the doubt,” Bailey said.

Bailey said it was already on So Si Bon’s record that he was biter and if he did it again, stewards would have to consider a ban.

So Si Bon’s jockey Andrew Mallyon was quick to point out that his mount definitely did not bite Williams.

For the record, Waging War comfortably took out the VOBIS Gold Mile with Sword Of Light in third place and So Si Bon fading out of the contest.
