THE Golden State Warriors’ NBA championship defence is off to the perfect start after Kevin Durant led the team to another convincing win over the San Antonio Spurs.
Durant finished with a team-high 32 points to go with six rebounds and six assists in the 116-101 win, with the Warriors taking a 2-0 series lead of the first round series.
Klay Thompson was also big for the Warriors, posting 31 points and five assists in the win.
For the Spurs, LaMarcus Aldridge led the way with 34 points and 12 rebounds, while Australia’s Patty Mills poured in 21 points in a starting effort.
Game 3 is in San Antonio, tipping off on Friday (AEST).
