Police have charged two men over an early morning stabbing incident in Wanneroo last year.

The incident occurred about 2.30am on Saturday July 22, when an argument broke out between two groups of men outside a home on Downing Crescent.

During the fight one man received a stab wound to his torso, and another was hit over the head with a brick paver.

After a nine-month investigation, police charged a 21-year-old man from Carramar, and two 22 and 25-year-old men from Wanneroo with grievous bodily harm and assault occasioning bodily harm.

They are due to appear in the Joondalup Magistrates Court on Friday.
