CONFRONTING footage has been aired showing the daylight execution of former bikie boss Mahmoud "Mick" Hawi outside a Sydney gym.
NSW Police on Friday said they were aware of the vision from February 15 - aired by the Seven Network - and had previously obtained a copy along with other footage taken in the area at the time.
The video shows Hawi getting into his 4WD parked outside Fitness First in Rockdale, before a gunman, dressed in black, runs towards the driver's side of the car.

The gunman - an arm's length from the car - appears to fire multiple shots at Hawi sitting in the driver's seat.
The attacker then leans into the car and continues firing at the ex-leader of the Comancheros before running from the carpark.
Hawi, 37, died a few hours later in St George Hospital.

His 4WD was peppered with at least half a dozen bullets in the hit which detectives are treating as a planned and targeted attack.
NSW Police previously said the alleged shooter appeared to have fled in a vehicle.
A Mercedes station wagon was set alight on a nearby street shortly after the attack.
Two men in dark clothing were captured on CCTV fleeing the area.
