The woman who fell to her death at the Sydney Tower Skywalk attraction this week has been confirmed as a 22-year-old who lived in the city’s south.
A NSW Police spokesperson said that a formal identification of the woman is yet to have been made, pending an ongoing investigation.
“The woman is still yet to be formally identified, however is believed to be a 22-year-old woman from southern Sydney,” the spokesperson said.

“All circumstances leading up to the woman’s death will be investigated as part of the police investigation and report to the Coroner.”
The young woman died on the corner of Castlereagh and Market Streets in the Sydney CBD around 2.45pm on Thursday after falling from the Skywalk attraction.
The Sydney Tower Eye was closed yesterday following the tragedy but has re-opened the doors to its observation deck to tourists today.

Skywalk tours will only resume after a full review of the incident takes place, according to a statement that was released yesterday.
"The health and safety of our guests and staff is always our primary objective," Sydney Tower Eye divisional director Rob Smith said.
"As part of (quality standards) procedures we undertake a rigid safety program including daily safety checks before opening, in depth training for all staff, preventative control measures and comprehensive maintenance schedules; all of which are developed and monitored by independent, third party experts.
"Safety will always be our number one priority."
Authorities also confirmed to reporters on Thursday that the incident appeared to be a self-harm related matter and police continue to investigate the matter.
Sydney Tower staff were also offered ongoing counselling and support in light of the incident and urged anybody affected by the event to seek professional help.
