ADVERTISER racing experts Lincoln Moore and Ben Scadden with their Track Talk preview for Saturday’s Morphettville races.
BEST OF BEST
SKILLFUL STEPS
Race 1, No 2
Progressive type who has been impressive winning both runs back from a spell. Scratched from last week for this, looks perfectly suited in the small field and should take a power of beating.
MOON SPINNER
Race 8, No 4
Had good wraps on him before dominant winner on debut at Morphettville three weeks ago. This is significantly tougher but he looks to have plenty of upside. Should make it two from two.
THE EYE-CATCHER
DOUBLE POCKETS
Race 5, No 5
Hasn’t won in more than a year but has run a couple of solid races recently, including latest when just over two lengths off the winner. This is easier and no surprise to see him finishing hard in the small field at good odds.

MODULATE (Race 1)
His form is good and he’s back out to a preferred distance. I’m expecting him to run well.
SKILLFUL STEPS (Race 1)
He’s had five weeks between runs but, on his current form, it looks a nice race for him. I think he’ll be hard to beat.
BAYOU (Race 6)
She’s trialled well but it looks a fairly solid two-year-old race for her first start. She’s shown enough to suggest she can be competitive.
KESAN (Race 8)
His trial was good the other day. He’ll get back from the gate so he’ll need a bit of luck but he’s not without a chance.
SCOTTY SAYS
VICTORY DOWNS
Race 7, No 1
He’s a very talented horse at his best and he has a very strong first-up record. I reckon he can run a big race at good each-way odds.
THE QUADDIE
First leg — 3, 4, 5, 6
Second leg — 1, 4, 5
Third leg — 4, 12
Fourth leg — 2, 9
