A motorist has had a miraculous escape after his vehicle careered 30m off a cliff at Mosman.
At about 7.45am on Tuesday a Toyota Landcruiser was travelling south on Parriwi Rd Mosman, when the car left the road, travelled through a timber guard rail and dropped 30m down an embankment.
Police and emergency services attended.
The driver, a man aged about 60, managed to get himself out of the vehicle and was later treated by paramedics on the scene for minor injuries.
He was then taken to Royal North Shore Hospital for further treatment.
Dee Why’s John Lohr was travelling south along the road moments after the incident occurred.
“When I was looking over the edge I saw him crawl out of the passenger side (of the vehicle) and he looked quite dazed,” he said.
Police are investigating the possibility the driver suffered a medical condition.
