Brisbane and most of the south-east escaped the worst of the severe weather that hit on Thursday evening.
By 7.30pm the severe weather warnings had been cancelled.
Earlier the Bureau of Meteorology issued a weather warning at 5.40pm for people near Harrisville and Mount Mee. It follows a warning at 4.10pm for people in Ipswich as well as parts of Logan, Somerset, Scenic Rim, Lockyer Valley and Brisbane City Council areas.
Severe thunderstorms had also been detected on the weather radar and hit Boonah, Mount Beerwah and Peachester as well as Boonah and Beaudesert and Palmwoods and Mapleton about 6.45pm.
Golf ball-sized hail had been reported south of Gatton at Mount Sylvia while two-centimetre hail had been reported in Ipswich.
