Australian flagbearer Scotty James has taken out the bronze medal in the men’s snowboard halfpipe final at the Olympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang.
James, the 2017 world champion, came in third with a score of 92.00 behind Japan’s Ayumu Hirano’s silver with a score of 95.25 and American Shaun White who took out the gold (97.75) with the final run of the competition.
The win for White is his third gold in 4 games and takes US to 100 medals for this year’s Winter Olympics.
The bronze is Australia’s second medal after Matt Graham took silver in the moguls skiing yesterday.
The other Australian in the final, Kent Callister, finished 10th in the 12-man field.
