A man and woman have been charged with affray and assaulting police following an incident at a Byron Bay beach.
Officers were called to the beach on Monday afternoon on reports of disruptive behaviour in the alcohol-free zone and found the remains of a bottle of vodka in the woman's bag.
The couple was given conditional bail to appear in Byron Bay Local Court on March 8.
