Alan George Taylor was killed in his Perth home in April 2016.

A white supremacist "death squad" bludgeoned an Australian father to death in a twisted plot forged by his girlfriend and her lover to claim his life insurance, a court has been told.

Alan Taylor, a fly-in, fly-out worker, was murdered on the morning of April 22, 2016 as he lay on his bed in his Perth home.

His partner of nine years and mother of his child, Melony Attwood, her lover Robert Edhouse and their former housemate Corey Dymock - all members of white supremacist group Aryan Nations - are on trial in Western Australia's Supreme Court accused of his murder.

Corey Dymock and Robert Edhouse are accused of murdering Alan Taylor.

State prosecution lawyer Justin Walley on Thursday told the jury during his opening address that Attwood and Edhouse, who were both unemployed, "wanted Mr Taylor out of the way" so they could openly conduct their relationship, claim his life insurance and continue to live in his house.

The trio lived together as housemates along with Taylor, 42, and Attwood's 3-year-old son.

The jury were told they would hear conflicting evidence as to whether Taylor was aware of the accused pair's affair.

Attwood, 36, was the leader of Aryan Nations' girls division and Edhouse, 22, was the president of the chapter.

"Aryan Nations, a group striving for equality for Australia, but in reality it is just an affiliation of like-minded racists and white supremacists with an affinity for Nazism, Hilter and the Third Reich," Walley said.

Attwood and Edhouse allegedly came up with a plan to kill Taylor and roped in former housemate Corey Dymock, 21, the chapter's "sergeant-at-arms" and another man, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, to help them.

Walley said the group murdered Taylor in a 42-minute window a day after he had returned from a swing at Christmas Creek mine site in Western Australia.

"By April 2016, Ms Attwood had tired of Mr Taylor and she and Mr Edhouse wanted to be together," he said.

"Killing Mr Taylor was her only option if she wanted to maintain her lifestyle.

"Forty-two minutes is all it took from the time this death squad arrived at the house and the time they left."

On the day Taylor died, Walley alleged Attwood and Edhouse left the house in the morning to drop Taylor and Attwood's son at childcare.

At 8.30am, a nurse arrived to take Taylor's blood for his life insurance application.

About 9.30am, Attwood, Edhouse, Dymock and another man allegedly arrived back at the Perth house.

Walley claimed Attwood turned up music in the house as the three men took turns bludgeoning Taylor's head with a hammer.

CCTV from a neighbour's house allegedly showed the group leaving the street 42 minutes later.

The men changed their clothes and the group then went to the cinema to watch Jungle Book, a "futile alibi", according to Walley.

Later in the day, the group allegedly boasted to a friend about Taylor's death and Attwood said she would be getting a lot of money, believing Taylor's life insurance to be worth A$1 million (NZ$).

Attwood returned to the Perth house at 4pm and called emergency services.

When an ambulance arrived, the paramedics waited outside for police to arrive as the Perth house had been flagged on their system during a previous callout due to the Nazi and white supremacist items inside the home.

Taylor was found dead by paramedics, with a post-mortem showing he suffered six serious blows to the head with a blunt object, and likely lay dying on the floor of his bedroom for two to five hours after he was attacked.

Attwood, Edhouse and Dymock have pleaded not guilty to murdering Taylor.

The jury on Thursday at 2pm was yet to hear opening statements from their lawyers.

The trial continues.
