A woman has died after she was dragged down a hill by a motorhome and a car in Bega on Sunday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to Howard Avenue in Bega after reports that a woman had been struck by a motorhome, which was towing a car.

It is understood the 62-year-old woman was between the two vehicles when they rolled and dragged her down a hill.

A four-year-old girl - who was known to the woman - was inside the motorhome at the time but was not injured.

The woman sustained "serious injuries" and died at the scene, despite emergency crews' efforts to provide treatment.

Police have established a crime scene and will investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
