A Pinjarra man who smashed into vehicles when he allegedly drove against traffic to evade police during a pursuit in Falcon, has been taken to hospital with head injuries.

Police will allege the man turned into oncoming traffic along Old Coast Road on Thursday afternoon.

Officers spotted the man in Falcon about midday and chased his vehicle for about five minutes.

The man, in his 20s, sustained a minor cut to his head and was taken to the Peel Health Campus via St John Ambulance.

It is the second high speed police pursuit through Mandurah suburbs in two days.

Police and fire fighters attended the scene and investigations are continuing.
