Time to go

Noho Sound's Alex Roy (left) and Ron Kain (right) are determined to bring high-end audio to a younger crowd, and to more women too. Their New York City showroom opened just a few months ago, and it certainly doesn't look or feel like any other I've seen!

Noho has more new McIntosh gear than I've ever seen in a store before.

On the outside that's a Focal Sopra No2, next to the TAD CE1 - Compact Evolution One speakers. On the cabinet top there's a Mofi turntable and a Naim Uniti Atom. Next shelf down, a Musical Fidelity M5si integrated amp and a Micromega M100 amp.

The Focal Sopra No.1 (blue) and Sopra No2 (white) speakers.

Noho has lots of really cool stuff, like this late 1950s Philco Predicta TV!

Focal Alpha powered speakers and a U-Turn Orbit turntable.

If your home's AC power is "dirty," you need a IsoTek Evo3 Aquarius power conditioner to clean it up.

Musical Fidelity is a great old UK company, still making great sounds in the 21st century.

Dr. Feickert turntables have really come into their own over the past few years.

Old tech gizmos are everywhere at Noho Sound.

McIntosh makes tube and solid state components in upstate New York.

Mac still makes the iconic '275, this model debuted in 1961. This is the current model.

The U-Turn Orbit Special, with prices starting around $459.

These Orangutan 0/96 speakers are made in Brooklyn!

Vinyl lovers in the Mac orbit use McIntosh phono preamps.

I couldn't stop admiring Noho Sound's collection of old tech.

Just as I was finishing up, some customers arrived and started listening.
