For the short-term traders out there who like to dabble in iron ore stocks, you may find the chart below of interest.

From Deutsche Bank, it shows the seasonality in Chinese steel, copper and iron ore prices between 2010 and 2017.

For iron ore, shown in black, prices tend to lift in the Chinese summer and winter ahead of peak periods of construction in spring and autumn.

Unsurprisingly, they also have a reasonable relationship to rebar and hot rolled coil steel prices.
