Two speeding motorbike riders on south-east Queensland roads have left police "frustrated again" after one rider was allegedly snapped doing almost double the speed limit on an inner Brisbane road on New Year's Day.
One motorcyclist was allegedly detected doing 116 km/hour in a 60 km/hour zone on Abbotsford Road at Bowen Hills in Brisbane, while another was allegedly clocked at 183km/h in a 110km/h zone on the Pacific Motorway in Yatala on the Gold Coast.
The riders were two of almost drivers detected speeding on Monday, a day which saw two people lose their lives on the roads.
A 40-year-old female pedestrian was killed in Logan Village and a 21-year-old male driver died in a head-on crash near Gympie.
