Here’s the top tech news for Tuesday:

1. An agritech startup just pulled off an $8 million IPO. CropLogic, originating out of New Zealand, floated on the ASX today with investors betting on its system of sensors that collect data for farmers to make intelligent decisions on managing crops such as potato, corn, wheat, soy and cotton. 2. The telco regulator just fast-tracked the start of 5G in Australia. The Australian Communications and Media Authority on Monday proposed to accelerate the allocation of spectrum for the next generation of mobile networks, which will allow things like intelligent cars, virtual reality, artificial intelligence and connected appliances to thrive. 3. A marketplace app backed by Australian cricket captain Steve Smith has closed a seed round. The AFR reports professional photography matchmaker Snappr has raised $2.5 million from Silicon Valley investors and local supporters such as AirTree.

4. Some Australians paid $200 for $40 of pizzas. Pizza Hut’s new ordering portal suffered a payment glitch over last weekend, reports the SMH, triggering a flood of complaints from customers that were charged multiple times – sometimes with no actual order fulfilled. The company is contacting and refunding all affected pizza lovers.

5. It took Vinomofo to realise a dream we all had about Australia Post. The wine e-tailer’s new deal with the postal service will see customers able to specify the precise time and date for deliveries — so that you don’t have to wait around fearing one bathroom visit could result in the dreaded “you were not home” card.
