Telstra mobile customers in and around Sydney were reporting intermittent connectivity problems this morning, with a technical fault apparently to blame.
The issues appeared to have begun at just past 8am Friday morning, with a steady stream of reports on Twitter and outage sites including Aussie Outages.
Several Twitter users speculated the issue may have been related to Telstra's default DNS (domain name server), reporting success when manually changing their phone or modem's settings to use an alternative server such as Google's.
While the official Telstra Twitter account acknowledged the reports and confirmed an investigation was underway early on, the telco did not make an official statement or given a time frame for the issues to be rectified.
At around 10.20am the Twitter account began telling customers "we have investigated the issue and received reports this has now been fixed".
