A Victorian man has died after he was pinned against a fence by a bull, on a farm in the state's north on Friday afternoon.
Police said they were preparing a report for the coroner following an "animal incident", at a private property in Bamawm, south of Echuca, just before 4pm.
"A man aged in his 50s died at the scene and WorkSafe is investigating," a police spokesman said.
It is understood the man was crushed against a fence by a bull.
Paramedics were called to the farm just after 3pm "for a man who had been injured by a bull", an Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said.
He was in a critical condition and an air ambulance was called, but he later died.
WorkSafe Victoria investigators were on their way to the scene on Friday evening.
Bamawm has a population of about 500 people.
