NEWLY surfaced footage of the 2013 deadly crash of an Asiana jetliner at San Francisco International Airport shows the dramatic moment the plane went down on the tarmac and the chaotic aftermath that followed.

The video, apparently taken by a tower at the airport, surfaced on YouTube four years after Asiana Flight 214 crashed on July 6, 2013, the New York Post reports.

Plumes of smoke can be seen engulfing the Boeing 777 as the jet carrying more than 300 people bounces off the ground and nearly flips.

The 47-minute CCTV footage shows rescue crews racing to the scene in a desperate bid to save occupants and put out of the flames.

Passengers can be seen escaping from the plane’s inflatable slides.

Data from the plane’s black boxes previously showed that it reached a low speed of 103 knots three seconds before clipping a seawall while approaching the airport.

Three people, two of whom were teenage girls, died as a result of the crash, which injured 187.

Jon Ballesteros, a spokesman for San Francisco International Airport, confirmed the authenticity of the video to SFGate.com.

The crash video had previously only been shared to investigators and airport officials did not know how the video wound up online, Ballesteros said, according to the news outlet.

The crash was blamed in part on an undue reliance on the jetliner’s automated systems. Picture: Jeff Chiu/AP

The video was published last month on YouTube and has garnered more than 80,000 views.
