Comedian Wil Anderson was arrested after an incident on a flight from Sydney to Wagga Wagga in New South Wales on Saturday.
Police went to Wagga Wagga Airport just before 4:00pm after reports of a disruptive passenger on an incoming flight from Sydney.
The 43-year-old was arrested as he left the plane.
He was taken to Wagga Wagga police station for questioning and later released.
Mr Anderson told Channel Nine he was pacing up and down on the plane due to a bad back, and believed his actions had been misinterpreted.
"I have a sore back and I was up and about pacing and there was a misinterpretation in the intentions of my pacing," Anderson said.
"I'm very confident and happy that the whole thing was based on a misunderstanding and I think we're going to sort it all out and I think once everybody has heard their sides of the story, that we'll all be on the same page," he said.
In his early 30s, Anderson was diagnosed with osteoarthritis, which causes chronic pain.
Speaking to MamaMia in March, Anderson said the pain affected him during flights.
"Sometimes I'm going to get off a plane and I won't be able to walk for a while," he said.
"This is a deteriorating condition so it just keeps getting worse until you just have to get something done about it."
Anderson had travelled to Wagga Wagga to perform his comedy show Critically Wil at the Civic Theatre on Saturday night. The show went ahead as planned.
Earlier on Saturday afternoon, Anderson reportedly referred to a dispute with Qantas in a Twitter post which can no longer be seen on his account.
"A big f*** you to the crew at Qantas for their no help today. Sorry Wagga if I can't walk when I get off the plane today," the tweet reportedly said.
