A flight attendant shouts for help as he braces himself against the walls of the plan in the chilling YouTube footage.

THIS is the terrifying moment severe turbulence threw passengers and cabin crew around a plane, leaving five injured.

Chillingly, a woman is heard asking of a man lying on the ground: “Is he dead?”

Flight attendants are seen bracing themselves against the walls of the AirAsia X plane with trays of food scattered around them.

The extreme turbulence rocked the flight from Taipei, Taiwan to Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia. None of the 300 passengers on board were killed during the horrifying ordeal.

During the astonishing viral clip, another woman can be heard saying, “One, two, three, sit down ... wait, wait!”, while apparently trying to move an injured passenger.

A woman then says, “You OK, am I crushing you?” and a man is heard mumbling “no, no” and “don’t, don’t.”

A man is heard ordering, “don’t move” and later we hear “careful, careful!”, as people shout and cry in the background of the troubled Airbus A330 in the frightening footage.

A woman tries to offer reassurance, saying: “It’s going to be all right.”

The airline said in a statement: “The aircraft landed safely at Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 at 4.30pm.

“Five injured passengers were treated by paramedics at the airport upon landing.

“All other passengers were attended to by ground staff and provided necessary assistance.”
