AN injured woman made a desperate attempt to escape after a man allegedly stabbed three people in a violent rampage in Doveton.
The woman tried to flee from her attacker and scramble up the road to a neighbours house but was quickly followed by the alleged offender.
A resident, understood to be a father of six, heard the woman’s terrified screams outside his house on Waratah Ave and discovered the woman bleeding on his doorstep.
It is believed the resident dragged the injured woman into the house and barricaded himself inside along with his wife and children moments before the offender arrived.
It is understood the offender then began arguing with the resident and attempted to force his way into the home.
The terrified family escaped over the back fence of the property shortly before police arrived and arrested the man.
One man is fighting for life and a man and woman are seriously injured following the incident which unfolded at a Doveton property around 6:30am.
