Josh Reynolds will play for the Wests Tigers from 2018, with the club confirming the five-eighth has signed a four-year deal.

With room in the salary cap freed up by the impending departures of Aaron Woods, James Tedesco and Mitchell Moses, the Tigers had space to make a play for talented playmaker Reynolds.

Reynolds has played 129 games for the Bulldogs, and four State of Origin games for NSW, having made his NRL debut in 2011.

"Josh has proven himself time and time again to be an incredibly competitive and passionate player and we look forward to him bringing that attitude to the club," coach Ivan Cleary said.

"He's going to bring to the Wests Tigers a wealth of experience having being a part finals, grand finals and State of Origin series.

"We're confident that the best is yet to come for Josh and look forward to him taking his game to the next level here.

"I'm sure he's going to make a significant contribution to Wests Tigers reaching its potential."

The Tigers will be hoping Reynolds will be able to forge a strong partnership with half-back Luke Brooks — the only member of the club's "big four" set to remain at the club in 2018.

The news comes as a timely fillip for the Tigers, who have endured a tumultuous start to the season.

Aside from the mass exodus of star players, the club has won only two of its first seven games and sacked coach Jason Taylor earlier in the year.
