Manny Pacquiao admits he has not watched any of Jeff Horn's fights and knows little about the Queensland school teacher.

The Filipino boxing legend touched down in Australia this morning, to kick off a promotional tour for his fight against Horn at Lang Park on July 2.

"I don't know much about him, but I know he's a fighter," Pacquiao said.

"I haven't watched his fights yet, but I'm going to get his last three fights and watch it."

There was no fanfare as the 11-time world champion arrived in Brisbane.

He was whisked through a private check-in away from the public, and only answered a few questions before he was escorted from the airport via a private exit.

But Pacquiao sent Horn a message before leaving:

"My message for him is to work hard, and make sure you're 100 per cent conditioned on July 2 so we can give a good fight, we can entertain people."

People in the boxing industry said the Pacquiao-Horn bout would help re-invigorate the sport in Australia.

"It's been in the doldrums (boxing in Australia) for some time," Dean Lonergan from Duco Events said.

"I think you'll find this will be the biggest fight in Australian history and you'll see the underdog (Horn) come through, and there's nothing like Australians supporting their own guys when they're underdogs."

Pacquiao will be in Brisbane until Wednesday, before he travels to Sydney and Melbourne on his promotional tour.
