A woman who fell and hurt her hip had to be winched off a cruise ship. (9NEWS)

A woman who fell and hurt her hip had to be winched off a P&O cruise ship in Queensland’s Moreton Bay this morning.

The 66-year-old woman was on board the Pacific Jewel when she slipped and fell, suffering hip injuries.

The woman was winched and flown to hospital in Brisbane. (9NEWS)

She had to be wheeled out of the cabin on a stretcher and was assessed on board by paramedics.

She was winched to safety and will be transported to Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital for further treatment.
