Twenty-four people are stuck near the top of of a 24-metre rollercoaster in Maryland in the United States, after the ride stalled.
Prince George's County Fire and Emergency Services Chief Spokesperson Mark Brady said on Twitter that 24 riders were stuck, though in an upright position.

Passengers had to be removed from a rollercoaster using a cherry-picker in Maryland, US.
No injuries have been reported, with emergency services removing riders using the cherry picker on the back of a fire engine.
Authorities planned to remove children first, before lowering all those remaining. Riders have been atop the ride for at least two hours.
