Queensland police have locked down parts of a suburb on Brisbane's south side following reports of an armed man.
An emergency situation was declared in Carina about 7.15pm on Tuesday and police said the man was believed to be inside a Mayrene Street residence with a woman.
An exclusion zone was also set up and police negotiators were still yet to make contact with the man about 9pm, a spokesman told AAP.
