Google Maps has marked this year's April Fools' Day by allowing users to play Ms. Pac-Man on maps of real streets worldwide.Â
Users of both the Android and iPhone Google Maps apps can play the game by clicking on symbols of  Ms Pac-Man above the 'My Location' symbol, while the desktop version features a square labelled "Insert Coin" on the bottom left of the screen.Â

The desktop and iPhone versions allow users to start the game on whatever section of the map is in focus, provided there are enough streets for Ms. Pac-Man to "get around".
The Android version takes you automatically to a certain section of the map, transforming into the screen into the familiar black background and maze set-up of the arcade game.Â
It is not the first time Google has marked the day of pranksters - the Pac-Man feature was made available on the desktop versions of Google Maps for a short period in 2015.Â
This year's pranks have also included Google Netherlands' spoof promotional video, "Introducing Google Wind," which claimed to "re-purpose" the rainy country's windmills to blow away clouds and "Introduce Sun to Holland".Â
The Pac-Man feature will be available on Google Maps until April 4th, according to David Hendon, product manager of Ms. Pac-Maps.
