The battle for A-League finals places will go to the wire. Sydney FC and Melbourne Victory will finish first and second, but any number of clubs could fill positions three to six.
Brisbane are in the box seat to snare third spot. They currently occupy that position with 39 points, three more than Melbourne City.
Western Sydney are fifth, but finishing strongly. They have 34 points, one more than Perth Glory.. Wellington Phoenix are closing fast with 29 points, but would need to win their last two matches and hope that Glory or Wanderers slip up.
Melbourne City could finish as high as third, or as low as sixth. Wellington cannot catch them.
