A 38-year-old man who allegedly fled the scene of a fatal car crash south of Brisbane this morning has handed himself into police.
Authorities were called to Browns Plains around 1am after the driver of a Holden Commodore ran a red light and collided with a Mitsubishi Lancer.
A 28-year-old female passenger of the Mitsubishi was pronounced dead at the scene, while two passengers from the Commodore were transported to hospital suffering non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Commodore fled on foot from the scene of the crash, police alleged.
He handed himself into police early this morning, a Queensland police spokesperson confirmed.
He is yet to be charged.
