what a shot!

LUNCH: Australia require 188 runs to win

What an enthralling session that was, with action aplenty. India started well enough, Pujara and Rahane adding another 25 before the latter was trapped LBW by Starc, sparking another sensational collapse, India losing 5/20 in a rush before Saha and Sharma added what could be a valuable 16 for the last wicket. Brilliant bowling from Josh Hazlewood, who finishes with 6/67 from 24 overs. So Australia needs 188 to take a 2-0 series lead. Doesn't sound like much, but we've said that before chasing small targets. Could be a nervous few hours ahead. Join us back here for the second session in about half-an-hour.

wicket!

WICKET!

And the resistance is broken! Sharma tries to drive O'Keefe, it's in the air and Shaun Marsh at short cover dives forward to take it safely. India all out 274, Australia need 188 to win!

It's all happening!

Saha spoons Hazlewood to Warner at mid-off, has to make some ground and can't quite hang on to it! They take a single and Warner throws the stumps down at the bowler's end. Serious shout for run-out now, but replay shows he's safe!

LBW? Not out

Another LBW shout! Hazlewood on Sharma. Turned down and they go for a review. Ball tracking shows it would have taken leg stump, but not enough of it to make it anything but umpire's call, and the No.11 survives! Starting to get a little frustrating for the Aussies now, who are bringing Steve O'Keefe back on.

Still hanging around

This partnership's worth 14 runs. Doesn't sound like much, but in the context of a last-innings run chase it might be. Some solid defence from Ishant Sharma and the odd risk from Saha has made this the biggest stand since the fifth wicket fell. The lead is now 185.

Great fielding

Thick edge from Saha down to third man off Hazlewood, looks like a boundary but Nathan Lyon flings himself at the ball and saves four as they haven't run. Great work!

Another four ... and another.

More runs, Saha takes the long handle to Starc and succeeds, depositing him to deep mid-off for a boundary. Every run's going to count! And now another boundary! Lyon's on, and Sharma sweeps him past square leg for four. Pushes a single, and the lead is 180.

Some resistance

Ishant Sharma and Wriddhiman Saha are hanging on here, no runs coming but at least no more wickets after India lost 5/20 in a massive hurry. They're 9/258, the lead is 171.

wicket!

WICKET!

A sixth wicket for Hazlewood. Short of a length, and Yadav just tries to slog him. Terrible shot, was way too full for that, and with no timing it just dollies straight to Dave Warner at mid-off. India have lost 5/20 and lead by only 171.

Six!

Big hit from Saha off Starc over mid-off hits the boundary cushion on the full! Had to replay it a few times to make sure it was six and not four ... way this game's going, every run is going to count, too.

Four for Saha

Looks like the tail is going to go for it before they too are rolled. Saha takes Starc through mid-on, uppish but safe, and that's a boundary, the 250 up and lead now 163.

wicket!

WICKET!

But now Ashwin's gone too! Very next ball from Hazlewood is way too good for him, skids through and rips out his off stump, India 8/246, and have lost 4/8!

Beautiful shot

Good answer from incoming batsman Ashwin though. Hazlewood is wide outside off and he spanks him through covers straight to the boundary!

wicket!

WICKET!

But now Pujara's gone! Hazlewood gets some bounce, Pujara on 92 plays back, gets a thick edge and it just dollies straight to Mitch Marsh at gully! That's 3/4 they've lost now in less than two overs, and Australia right back on top, India three wickets in hand and the lead 155.

Pujara is gone, and Steve Smith is pretty happy about it.
