Prosecutors have amassed around 700 witness statements in the case against murdered schoolgirl Tiahleigh Palmer's foster brother, a court has heard.

Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Wednesday heard prosecutors had provided a brief of evidence that included 700 witness statements and 65 hours of recordings to Trent Thorburn's legal team.

Thorburn, 19, is facing charges of incest, perjury and perverting the course of justice in relation to the alleged murder of 12-year-old Tiahleigh in 2015.

Duty lawyer Ashley Ulyatt told the court Legal Aid was still taking the accused through the evidence.

Thorburn's father Richard has been charged with killing Tiahleigh and dumping her body on the banks of a northern Gold Coast river.

Meanwhile, his mother Julene and brother Joshua have been charged with perjury and attempting to pervert the course of justice

Thorburn did not appear in court and the matter was adjourned until April 5.

Tiahleigh's mother Cindy Palmer was among those in a packed public gallery for the mention.
