A sneak peek at what’s featured in tomorrow’s issue of Inside Retail Weekly….

Time has flown, we’re now two months into 2017 and half yearly earning season is in full swing. This week, in our second themed issue of the year, we take a closer look at property; examining Home Consortium’s rise in the re-emerging world of large format retail and assessing the raft of post-holiday store closures around the world.

In news this week we answer some questions about Howards Storage World’s new owners, learn about Woolies’ private label focus, cover online furniture retailer Brosa’s expansion and get the down-lo on Tiffany’s upcoming luxury concept in Sydney.

On the back of Wesfarmers’ continued attempts to revive their struggling department store brand Target, we also take a closer look at the discount department store landscape and ask whether the iconic brand could be approaching an untimely end.

Speaking of iconic Aussie brands, Myer also gets a mention. Having launched a partnership with Twitter’s Periscope platform for their Autumn/Winter range launch, the department store has once again proven that it’s looking forward under the leadership of Richard Umbers.

It also wouldn’t be a property issue if we didn’t give you a double page property section and a long chat with GPT’s Vanessa Orth.

You’ll find all of this, and much more, in Inside Retail Weekly Issue 2129.
