CHARLIE Sheen has revealed that he wanted to kill himself following his HIV diagnoses in 2011.
In an interview with Good Morning America, the 51-year-old actor said that the only thing that stopped him from “eating a bullet†was the fact his mum Janet was there, The Sun reports.
“I feel really good. I am so grateful,†said Charlie.
He added with a laugh: “The day I was diagnosed, I immediately wanted to eat a bullet, my mom was there, I wouldn’t do that in front of her, or let her find me to clean up that mess.â€
He went onto explain how he is helping other people living with HIV.
“I feel like I’m carrying the torch for a lot of folks out there that are suffering from the same thing.
“Some days are better than others, but most days are pretty f***ing cool,†he said, adding that he gets lots of “warm hugs†and “compliments†from strangers.
He also revealed that he is currently trialling a new drug which means he only needs to have one injection a week.
“I’m so grateful for what was available when it happened, and even more grateful for what’s available right now, when I’m, I’m in the middle of it, you know?â€
He also revealed the reason behind his infamous “tiger blood†meltdown during his 2011 GMA interview in which he also claimed to be a “high priest Vatican assassin war lordâ€: testosterone cream to enhance his sex drive.
“Way too much testosterone cream, trying to keep the old libido up. It metabolises into steroids. That whole odyssey was an accidental ‘roid rage.â€
In the 2011 interview, he had told host Andrea Canning: “I am on a drug, it’s called Charlie Sheen.
“It’s not available because if you try it you will die. Your face will melt off and your children will weep over your exploded body.
“I’m different. I just have a different constitution, a different brain, a different heart, I’ve got tiger blood man.â€
