2017 is going to be a huge year for movies. If you thought 2016 had a bloated summer, just wait until this year. Stretching from April to August — the summer movie season is starting earlier each year — there’s the potential for over a dozen sure-fire big blockbusters.

Much of that will be because we are getting a lot of sequels. While some are hotly anticipated (we’re looking at you “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2”), others may feel like cash grabs — we only keep getting those “Transformers” movies because they’re making a lot of money overseas.
