Several schools across Victoria have been evacuated after receiving threatening phone calls on Thursday morning.
Schools enacted their emergency management plans and students were moved from buildings as a precautionary measure, Victoria Police said.
While police would not confirm how many schools were impacted, or the specific nature of the threats, they did say the schools impacted were not limited to one area.

"There is no information to suggest this event is related to a previous incident," a police spokesman told Fairfax Media, although he could not rule out a connection.
At least three schools were evacuated, according to radio station 3AW, including Traralgon Primary School, in Gippsland.
Parents told the radio station they received text messages notifying them that the primary school had been evacuated.
St Mary's Primary School, Myrtleford, was also among the schools evacuated after receiving a bomb threat over the phone.Â
But, the school told Fairfax Media, by 11:45am students had returned to their classrooms.Â
The school was not aware that it was one of many that had been subjected to threatening calls.
The calls coincided with threats made to schools across New Zealand.
New Zealand Police said in a statement on Thursday morning that they were "responding to calls of a concerning nature directed to a number of schools throughout the country".
"We understand the fear and concern that these calls cause, however we reiterate that so far we have not established any actual threat to any school."Â
New Zealand Police added that Thursday's calls "may be similar to those received earlier this year, which inquiries indicated originated overseas".
In February, a spate of hoax calls sparked evacuations and lock downs at almost 20 Victorian schools.Â
Police later said the threats of bombing and shooting attacks were "designed to cause disruption and attract media attention".
More to come.
