A man has died after an apparent shooting in Brisbane's east.

Emergency crews were called to Dialba Crescent at Tingalpa after reports a neighbour heard a gunshot from a nearby address just before 4pm.

Four ambulance crews attended and CPR was performed on the man who was found inside a residence with a reported gunshot wound to his abdomen.

He was rushed to Princess Alexandra hospital in a critical condition where he died, police said.

Police could not confirm whether a suspected shooter was at large.

A crime scene has been declared as police investigate the incident.
