A north Queensland property is being excavated over the disappearance of missing Innisfail woman Leeann Lapham.
Ms Lapham was last seen in the evening in April 2010, pushing her one-month-old son in a pram along the Fitzgerald Esplanade in Innisfail.
Detective Sergeant Matt Bauer said a Mundoo property, just south of Innisfail, was being investigated after a tip-off from the public.
"We can confirm we have received information and for this reason, we have commenced the excavation at this location," he said.
"Any new evidence or information provided to us that could further our investigation would be followed up and investigated accordingly."
Ms Lapham's mother Kerry Johnson had been looking after her son Bradley, and said at the time the disappearance was out of character.
Ms Lapham was 30 at the time she went missing, and is described as slim, with straight brown hair, green eyes and fair skin.
She has a tattoo of coloured flowers on her right leg, black stars on the left calf, and the word Raven on the back of her left wrist.
