The government is encouraging people to avoid Remembrance Day parking hassles by taking advantage of free return buses to the Australian War Memorial ceremony on Friday.
The National Ceremony will run from about 10.30am to noon in the Parade Grounds of the Australian War Memorial.
Charter buses will run a continuous loop from 9 to 10am from stop 5110 on Dakota Drive, Majura Park, to stop 3474 on Fairbairn Avenue in front of the Australian War Memorial.
The return service will run from Stop 3474 on Fairbairn Avenue to Majura Park between 12.30 and 1.30pm.
The Tourist Loop Route 81 and Route 10 will service the Australian War Memorial as part of its usual weekday services.
Road closures between 8am and 1pm on Friday include:
-  Anzac Parade in both directions between the intersection of Limestone and Fairbairn Avenues to the intersection of Currong Street and Blamey Crescent, and;

The Australian War Memorial has advised that parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis, with limited spots available on-site for mobility-impaired visitors only.
