The men's and women's Canberra Heat teams' tilt towards the Australian Volleyball League finals was aided by wins over University of Technology Sydney-Sydney University on Saturday.

Both matches went to five sets and the Heat emerged victorious in both.

The two teams will play the UTSSU again at the AIS on Sunday, which will be must-win matches in order to finish in the top two in their conferences.
