A man has died after fleeing a burning house in the Lockyer Valley, west of Brisbane, on Friday night.
Emergency services were called to the Churchable residence about midnight where one occupant, a 70-year-old man, was seriously injured after escaping the fire.
The man was treated at the scene, before being airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. Police confirmed he died on Saturday morning.
The Main Green Swamp Road property was destroyed by the fire and a woman who was also inside the residence was uninjured.
A police spokesman said on Saturday morning the fire was not being treated as suspicious and investigations were continuing into the cause.
