POLICE are hunting for a man who fired a gun at a woman’s car while she had her son in the vehicle near Dwellingup yesterday.
The incident happened on Friday morning about 12km southeast of Dwellingup.
The woman was driving between Dwellingup and Boddington on the Pinjarra-Williams Road at about 11.40am when she saw a man in the bush on the side of the road.
As she drove past the man fired a gun which pierced the rear passenger door of her Mitsubishi Pajero.
Her three-year old son was in the back.
Incredibly, neither of them were hurt.
The woman drove to Boddington Police Station and reported the incident.
Officers from Boddington, Pinjarra, Waroona and Narrogin Detectives raced to the scene but couldn’t find the man.
Narrogin Detectives are handling the investigation.
The shooter is described as between 30-40 years-old, approximately 185cm tall, slim build, tanned skin, with short blonde-brown messy hair and a clean-shaved face.
He was wearing black jeans and a long sleeved black shirt with patterns on the sleeves.
Narrogin Detectives would like to speak to anyone that was driving on the Pinjarra-Williams Road at this time who might have seen the man.
