THERE are many ways you could celebrate your copper wedding anniversary (that’s 12.5 years in case you’re wondering).
You could go out for a nice dinner. You could buy your partner a gift made of copper:
Or, you could follow the Danish royal family’s lead and appear on a stamp wearing the national costume of Greenland (Greenland is an autonomous Danish territory).
Aussie Mary (TM), her husband Prince Frederik and the couple’s four children — Prince Christian, Princess Isabella and twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine — all posed for the new stamp, which was released by Greenland Post on Monday.
This is what royal obligation looks like:
The real winner in the photo is 11-year-old Prince Christian (up the back) who has managed to hide behind his sister. Well played, Christian. With strategic moves like that you deserve to be heir to the throne.
Next to him is Prince Vincent, who seems to be channelling Mr Tumnus from Narnia. But at least he’ll be warm if a blizzard happens to blow through.
Having said all of that, those thigh-high ugg boots do look darn toasty. And you have to tip your hat to Mary for managing to rock 19 different prints at once.
The release of the new stamp comes just days after Mary, 44, had to step in at an engagement for her husband, who injured himself during a trampoline accident.
You’d never hear of Prince Charles injuring himself in a trampoline accident ... so that officially makes these guys our favourite royal family.
