SHE was voted out of Australian Survivor in the biggest blindside elimination of the season last night, but for contestant Brooke Jowett, there was a silver lining.

After enduring week after week of rice, beans and other paltry rations, the Melburnian could seriously binge as soon as she stepped off set.

The result? She gained an incredible eight kilograms in just 12 days, she claimed in an interview with WSFM’s Jonesy & Amanda this morning.

“I came out of the island and I ate and ate and ate,” she revealed.

Jowett said there was one other creature comfort she was grateful to see after her time on the island with its, ahem, less than desirable toilet facilities.

“It was so nice going to the toilet on a proper toilet for the first time,” she told the radio hosts.

Life back home in Melbourne hasn’t all been carb-loading and swanky toilet visits for Jowett, though — she’s had to deal with a backlash from some viewers thanks to her part in the so-called ‘Mean Girls’ alliance.

One intoxicated woman who recognised her from the show chased her down the street while throwing food. “She was screaming at me. People have been horrible.”

In an interview with Newscorp following her shock elimination from the contest, Jowett admitted that she was still struggling to come to terms with her best friend on the island, Flick, voting against her.

“I was in shock for a long time,” Jowett said of Egginton’s move against her.

“I just remember being absolutely betrayed by Flick.

“I know it’s a game, but you still feel so betrayed.

“She was someone I had been working with the whole game, and I had helped her out on so many times, including saving her on day 12.

“Now I’m like, why did I bother doing that?”

As for her pick to win, Jowett said she thought single mum El Rowland would be a shoo-in if she made it to jury voting.

“Everyone loves her, she’s such a funny person,” she said.
