FANS were in shock last night when Georgia Love sent a devastated Tommy Saggus packing on The Bachelorette — but there’s one person he didn’t mind getting away from.
Most of the contestants on the show have been happy to develop their bromances while they try to court Georgia Love — except models Rhys Chilton and Sam Johnston, who have been butting heads since the very first episode.
The Bachelorette recap: The worst way to get dumped
And Tommy blames Sam’s frequent jabs for the drama.
“With Sam’s comments, it kind of blindsided us all. It was unexpected. I wasn’t impressed by them,†the 31-year-old told news.com.au.
“Rhys is a wonderful guy.â€
The employment coach, who had the opportunity to open up to Georgia during last night’s episode after being chosen for one-on-one time, says he had felt sure he’d receive a rose in the ceremony.
And he looked pretty heartbroken when he didn’t.
“I thought, ‘no she can’t send me home after that talk’ and I was feeling confident,†Tommy said.
“I watched it [the episode] by myself last night ... and it was a little bit hard to watch.â€
He also revealed that Rhys was a big support to him after his axing from the show.
“My confidence took a bit of battering after it, but Rhys is the kind of guy who makes you feel good about yourself.â€
Tommy has faith Georgia will find love with the right man in the house, but doubts the motives of some of the remaining contestants.
“Everyone’s there for different reasons. Not everyone’s there to find love.â€
The Bachelorette returns next week at 7.30pm on Wednesday and Thursday nights.
